Artist Statement
Living in an environment where there is direct access to natural beauty has always been a priority for me. I have been especially inspired by the ocean and desert. In these places I’ve found rhythm, breathing space and a source of endless light, color and spirit.
My creative life has moved through the realms of teaching, graphic arts and design, art therapy and school psychology. I have a B.F.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.A. in Art Therapy from University of Illinois, Chicago, and hold California School Counseling and Psychologist Credentials
I like to explore both inner and outer landscapes (and still life) and enjoy digital photography, watercolor painting, pastels and collage. I will be selling my new book, Ghost Ranch, Vistas & Visions during the tour.
